These Terms of Use govern your use of FishTourHub. Please read carefully before booking, listing, or submitting content.
By creating an account or using FishTourHub, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
FishTourHub.com is the umbrella Fishing Hub Network covering ALL hubs From VB to MB and Beyond.
FishTourHub is a marketplace that connects customers with fishing charter captains and coastal tours. We help people discover, book, and join trips across our entire network. We are a marketing and booking platform only.
FishTourHub is NOT the operator of any charter or tour. We do not own, operate, or control any vessel. The captain or operator listed is solely responsible for running the trip safely and legally.
FishTourHub covers ALL hubs from Virginia Beach to Myrtle Beach and everywhere in between, and will add new hubs as the network expands. One account, one network, all coasts. Your account works across ALL hubs — present and future.
When we say “hubs” we mean ALL current and future hubs in the FishTourHub Fishing Hub Network, including but not limited to Virginia Beach, Outer Banks, Ocean City MD, Morehead City, Myrtle Beach, and any additional hubs added in the future.
You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Customer, captain, and admin access is governed by the role assigned to your account.
Booking a trip may require a deposit or full payment at checkout. Balances, gratuities, and walk-on seat prices are collected as described at booking. Refunds and cancellations follow the policy shown for each trip or booking.
NO REFUNDS FOR SPECIES PICKS: Fishing is fishing. Target species checkboxes are what the captain targets and are subject to change based on season, weather, water conditions, migration, and regulations. Species picks are NOT guaranteed. No refunds, partial refunds, or discounts if you don’t catch a specific species, size, or number. You’re paying for the time, boat, fuel, and captain’s expertise — not a guaranteed catch.
Payments for physical fishing trips and tours are processed by Stripe. Digital subscriptions sold inside mobile apps use the platform’s own billing where required. Payment information is handled by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers.
SMS CONSENT: By providing your mobile number you consent to receive transactional SMS about bookings, walk-ons, and captain updates from FishTourHub via Twilio. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Cancellation windows are based on the scheduled trip time. The 11% FishTourHub booking fee is non-refundable and earned upon booking; refunds below describe what happens to the remaining trip price.
Model A — Platform Collects (full price paid online): • More than 5 days before the trip: 100% refund of the trip price. • 2-5 days before the trip: the 11% booking fee is forfeited; the remaining 89% of the trip price is refunded. • Less than 48 hours, same-day cancellation, or no-show: no refund — 100% forfeited. Trip is non-refundable.
Model B — Captain Collects Day-of (11% booking fee paid online, 89% paid to the captain at the dock): • More than 5 days before the trip: full refund of the booking fee. • 2-5 days before the trip: booking fee forfeited — no refund. • Less than 48 hours, same-day cancellation, or no-show: booking fee forfeited — 100% non-refundable. The 89% balance owed to the captain is governed by the captain cancellation policy.
If the captain cancels for unsafe weather or a verifiable mechanical failure, you receive a 100% refund of all online payments (or a free reschedule, your choice). No-show means not being at the dock within 30 minutes of departure; the captain must wait 30 minutes and attempt phone contact.
This is how payouts work — transparent, no hidden fees:
• Customer pays total booking amount. • Stripe processing fees (2.9% + 30 cents per transaction) are deducted OFF THE TOP. • Then the remaining NET amount is split: 89% to Captain, 11% to FishTourHub LLC as non-refundable marketing and booking fee.
EXAMPLE: $600 booking • $17.70 Stripe fee (2.9% + $0.30) taken off top = $582.30 NET remaining • $518.25 to Captain (89% of net) • $64.05 to FishTourHub (11% of net)
Total cost to captain is approximately 13.9% all-in including credit card processing, compared to 30%+ charged by other platforms.
Platform fee covers marketing, booking, and credit card processing facilitation.
Captains are responsible for accuracy of their listings, boat details, availability, and compliance with all licensing, safety, and fishing regulations. Walk-on trips are assigned based on availability and captain opt-in by category; seat assignment is not guaranteed until confirmed.

Walk-on trips work across ALL FishTourHub hubs — From VB to MB and beyond.
Tournament boats listed are independent charter vessels operated solely by independent captains; entry fees, prize money, and tournament rules are solely between customer and captain/tournament — FishTourHub is not the operator and is not responsible for tournament outcomes, winnings, or rules.
Captains agree to submit valid license and insurance documents for verification, to accept the FishTourHub Captain Agreement, and to use Stripe Connect for payouts.
All captains are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of FishTourHub LLC. Captain is solely responsible for vessel, USCG license appropriate for vessel/passenger capacity, vessel documentation/state registration, required safety equipment per USCG regulations (PFDs, throwable, fire extinguishers, visual distress signals, sound signal), enrollment in a USCG-compliant random drug testing consortium as required, marine/charter liability insurance, safety brief before each charter, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Captain license and insurance documents are uploaded to private storage and reviewed by administrators only — not displayed publicly.
Captain will maintain compliance at all times while listed on any FishTourHub hub and will provide proof upon request.
Captain represents he/she is currently enrolled in a USCG-compliant random drug testing consortium and will maintain enrollment while listed on FishTourHub. Captain agrees to provide proof upon request. FishTourHub does not independently verify ongoing drug test compliance — captain is solely responsible.
You may submit recipes, restaurant recommendations, local chef listings, tackle & bait shops, tournaments, and photos. You grant FishTourHub LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, and distribute your approved submissions (and photos) in the app, on our website, in marketing and promotional materials, in partner venues, and on third-party platforms, in any media, without further compensation. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you post and that it is accurate and lawful.
COMMUNITY LISTINGS DISCLAIMER: Restaurants, local chefs, tackle & bait shops, tournaments, and recipes displayed on FishTourHub are submitted by users and third parties. FishTourHub does not independently verify the licenses, permits, food-safety compliance, insurance, quality, pricing, hours, or availability of any listed business or event, and does not endorse any listing. Listings are provided for information only. Any transaction, booking, meal, service, or dispute with a listed business or tournament is solely between you and that business or organizer. FishTourHub LLC is not a party to those transactions and is not liable for the products, services, conduct, or outcomes of any listed business, chef, shop, or tournament. Contact the business or organizer directly for details. Tournaments in particular are independent events; entry fees, prize money, rules, and outcomes are solely between you and the tournament organizer, and FishTourHub is not the operator of any tournament.
Businesses may submit paid advertisements for approval. Approved ads are subject to placement and content guidelines, and FishTourHub may decline or remove any ad at its discretion.
You agree not to misuse the service, including by submitting false information, attempting to access others’ data, circumventing payments, or using the platform to send unsolicited messages. Violations may result in removal of listings, content, or accounts.
The service is provided “as is.” Fishing, boating, and coastal tours involve inherent risks, including weather, sea conditions, equipment, injury, drowning, and death. Participants take part at their own risk and should follow the captain’s safety instructions.
Customer assumes all inherent risks. To the extent permitted by law, FishTourHub LLC and its Fishing Hub Network covering ALL hubs from VB to MB and beyond is not liable for conduct of captains, outcome of any trip, captain negligence, personal injury, property damage, or indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
FishTourHub does not guarantee captain compliance with USCG regulations. Customers should verify credentials. Weather, mechanical, and safety cancellations are at captain’s sole discretion.
FishTourHub, the FishTourHub logo, the Fishing Hub Network, hub names, page content, and all software, design, text, graphics, and code on the platform are owned by FishTourHub LLC and protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws. The FishTourHub name and logo are claimed as trademarks of FishTourHub LLC and are currently pending U.S. trademark registration review. Until registration issues, they are used as common-law marks. Nothing on the platform may be copied, reproduced, republished, or used to create derivative works without our written permission. User-posted content remains the property of the user who posted it, subject to the license granted in Section 10.
We respect intellectual property rights and will remove infringing material when properly notified. To report content that infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@fishtourhub.com with: (i) identification of the copyrighted work, (ii) identification of the infringing material and its location on the platform, (iii) your contact information, (iv) a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized, and (v) a physical or electronic signature. We will review and remove or disable access to the material, and may suspend accounts of repeat infringers.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FishTourHub LLC, its affiliates, officers, agents, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees) arising out of your use of the platform, your bookings, your content submissions, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights. This applies to customers, captains, partners, and advertisers alike.
Except for claims that may be taken in small-claims court, any dispute or claim arising from these Terms or your use of FishTourHub will be resolved through binding individual arbitration in Virginia Beach, Virginia, under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, and not in court. You and FishTourHub each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. The arbitrator may award the same damages and relief as a court. This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or urgent matters. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. FishTourHub covering ALL hubs may add new hubs without requiring new acceptance — these Terms automatically apply to all new hubs.
